Job Title: Branch Manager - North Vancouver, BC

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the Branch Manager will oversee the sales and operational activities of our newly established North Vancouver location. This pivotal role entails driving profitability, sales, margins, inventory management, expense control, and fostering employee engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives on building teams and cultivating strong relationships with both customers and vendors in a new setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance by setting clear job expectations, assessing performance, and offering coaching and mentorship.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellence in customer service and fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with peers across the region to develop tailored solutions that meet the diverse needs of our customers.
  • Prioritize safety and health in the workplace by promoting and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure continuous training for staff, covering systems, sales techniques, customer service standards, and product knowledge.
  • Implement effective inventory management practices to maintain accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
  • Manage all aspects of the branch and asset management, including maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Uphold and enforce internal and external customer service standards.
  • Develop and oversee sales and operational budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to devise and execute programs aimed at driving sales and improving margins.
  • Collaborate with support teams to implement pricing, credit, and delivery policies, and assist in resolving credit-related issues.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Oversee inventory management within established budget parameters.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Previous experience in a management role is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, build, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong decision-making abilities, coupled with analytical skills and effective communication and networking capabilities.
  • A steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to the role.
